Jewelry is having a moment. The rise in lab-grown diamonds and other precious gems has made previously super-expensive pieces more accessible. Brands such as Mejuri and Dorsey are leading the charge when it comes to trend-forward yet timeless items, including tennis bracelets and sparkling necklaces. These pieces can be layered or worn alone with event wear, and they even elevate jeans and a T-shirt.
Best of all, personalization is everywhere — at any price point. From initial bubble necklaces to mix-and-match charm earrings, Lizzie Fortunato or Electric Picks can help you customize your look depending on your mood. Keep reading for even more jewelry that feels luxe but without the price tag.
1. Mejuri
One of the most beloved jewelry brands on the market, Mejuri creates pieces that feel more timeless than trendy. Its iconic Dôme collection ranges from $48 for the Dôme huggies in sterling silver to $848 for the pavé diamond thin Dôme ring, which could easily double as a wedding band. Mejuri also hawks a large men’s offering, though we think the collection could be enjoyed by anyone who appreciates the finer things in life.
2. Alexa Leigh
Alexa Leigh Meyer’s eponymous brand launched in 2010 and quickly became known for its ball bracelets and necklaces (starting at $40 and $100, respectively). Offerings include chain necklaces, rings, anklets, and earrings, and anything can be customized with charms or special requests. "I wanted to create a jewelry line that could be worn day to night and would last through the wear and tear of life, while also being comfortable enough to sleep in," Meyer says.
3. Ben Amun
For more than 40 years, fine artist Isaac Manevitz, designer and founder of Ben-Amun, has been producing jewelry that demonstrates his respect for shape and design. The statement-making pieces are made from materials including 24K gold, Majorca pearls, and Czech glass stones. We love the Basel earrings ($195) or the Irie necklace ($145) — both of which look way more expensive than they are. The brand, named for its founder’s son and one of the former kings of Egypt, Tutankhamun, also has an extensive bridal collection.
4. Catbird
Built from a tiny space in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Catbird has become synonymous with items such as permanent bracelets and dainty necklaces. (This is where the “forever bracelet” was created.) With prices ranging from $14 for sweet rose earrings to $13,800 if you’re in the market for a diamond heart ring, there really is something for everyone. The direct-to-consumer gem has come a long way from that Brooklyn storefront, and now has seven brick-and-mortar locations.
5. Electric Picks
Best friends MJ Carlson and Chantel Gia launched this brand with the belief that every piece of jewelry has a history. Each Electric Picks piece comes with a hangtag that tells the story of that item, which makes them great gifts. If you’re compelled by the bubble initial ($88) and tennis necklaces ($98) popular right now, the brand offers an accessible price point to give the trends a try before overcommitting.
6. Lizzie Fortunato
If you’re in the mood for some color, Lizzie Fortunato’s pieces are bright but still elevated. The mood hoops ($90 for small, $95 for medium, $105 for large) allow you to create virtually endless earring options by swapping out the brand’s signature charms. Topping out at $60, the charms come in all ranges of colors and designs, allowing you to tailor your look to your mood.
7. Annika Inez
Scandinavian designer Annika Inez has been at the forefront of the trend of wearing your heart on your ears. Her pieces, which come in 14K filled, sterling silver, and glass options, are sculptural in their form. Heart earrings start at $110 for a single cuff and go up to $345 for a large mother-of-pearl version. These are classic pieces that still add some intrigue to a look.
8. Jenny Bird
Known for her chic and streamlined designs, Jenny Bird has been designing jewelry for people of all ages and sensibilities since 2010. (She added sunglasses to her repertoire in 2022.) Whether you’re looking for a simple gold huggie ($60) or a tubular anklet ($278), Jenny Bird has you covered. The brand is unassuming but not without impact, making it great for all the minimalists out there.
9. Shashi
Tennis necklaces and their pearl counterparts can be fun to mix and match — but often require a hefty investment. Shashi doesn’t make the wearer choose, with both starting at $96, including the Classique pearl necklace and the tennis diamond necklace. It also offers statement pieces, such as the Eden earring ($187), and a wedding collection, for all your event accessory needs.
10. Heaven Mayhem
Founded in 2023 in Los Angeles, California, by creative director Pia Mance, Heaven Mayhem quickly became a celebrity favorite. Hailey Bieber, Matilda Djerf, and Lori Harvey, to name a few, love Mance’s vintage-inspired jewelry and leather belts — as do we. Current favorites include the Crown earrings, Black Mini necklace, and Crush silver studs, which are all priced at just under $100.
11. Dorsey
Hear us out — Dorsey is one of the least affordable brands on this list, but if you’re comparing its lab-grown diamonds to mined, you’re still netting big savings. Its occasion earrings range from $200 for the Deneuve — no doubt inspired by Catherine, a great gem collector in her own right — to $750 for the lab-grown emerald Bellamy. Some of the options in its signature Rivière collection can bring you north of $1,000, but you can also nab the sterling silver Rivière necklace starting at $295.
